Episode 9: Cultivating compassion, wisdom, and chrestotes (which is helpful loving-kindness).
Welcome to Episode 9 of 11 in our podcast series, Overview of Wayism. In today's episode, we'll explore the cultivation of compassion, wisdom, and chrestotes – the essential qualities that lie at the heart of the Wayist path.
In Wayist teachings, these three qualities are seen as the natural expressions of our true, spiritual nature. They are not simply virtues to be acquired, but rather the inherent qualities of the spirit, waiting to be uncovered and embodied, and used to reprogram the three soul-minds in order to sanctify them.
Spiritual beings are immortal deities, and we are evolving into that state of being. Spiritual beings, unlike the gods of soul-people, are by nature benign, humble, simple, helpful and kind. They are by nature magnificently powerful energy workers with skills to manipulate the energies of any of the three energy domains. However, they trust in the mechanisms of the metaphysical laws of The Way which govern creation. The Laws of Karma, for example.
And that is why spiritual deities will never interfere in human society -- there are metaphysical laws to care for it. People who pray to their god to help their team win a game or election, or to make the hurricane move over to a neighbor's house rather than theirs, they are not addressing spiritual deities. We are learning how to become trusting of the natural processes governed by natural laws and metaphysical laws. We are learning to accept what we cannot change and become the best person possible, in the circumstances.
Each lifetime is different, in a different human body and cultural context. We are learning that this exact moment, now, is the only reality we should be concerned about and to use our Attitude to make its energy good and wholesome. We are learning that life is not fair, that justice is unjust, and people are not equal and will never be. We are learning to see life, and approach life, from an immortal spirit's viewpoint.
Compassion, in the Wayist understanding, is the ability to empathize with the suffering of others and to respond with caring and kindness. It arises from the recognition of our fundamental interconnectedness – the understanding that the happiness and well-being of others is intimately linked to our own.
As we walk the path of spiritual evolution, we are invited to cultivate compassion through practices such as loving-kindness meditation, service to others, and the constant reminder of our shared humanity. By opening our hearts to the joys and sorrows of all beings, we gradually expand our circle of concern and develop a more inclusive, compassionate worldview.
Wisdom, in the Wayist tradition, refers to the deep, intuitive understanding of the nature of reality that arises from direct spiritual insight. It is not merely intellectual knowledge, but rather a profound, embodied knowing that transforms our entire perspective on life.
Cultivating wisdom involves practices such as self-inquiry, contemplation, and the study of spiritual teachings. It also requires a willingness to question our assumptions, to let go of limiting beliefs and concepts, and to open ourselves to new possibilities of understanding.
A millennia-old Wayist saying is, "own your own mind, for if you don't, someone else will".
As we grow in wisdom, we begin to see the world through the eyes of clarity and discernment. We develop the ability to respond to life's challenges with grace, resilience, and a deep trust in the unfolding of The Way.
Chrestotes, a Greek term that can be translated as "helpful loving-kindness," is perhaps the most distinctive of the Wayist qualities. It refers to the active, engaged expression of compassion and wisdom in service to others.
Chrestotes involves more than just a feeling of empathy or concern – it is a committed, skillful action that seeks to alleviate suffering and promote well-being in whatever way is most appropriate and effective. It requires a keen understanding of the needs of others, as well as the wisdom to know how best to meet those needs.
Cultivating chrestotes involves a constant attentiveness to the opportunities for kindness and service that arise in our daily lives. It means being willing to offer our time, energy, and resources in support of others, without expectation of reward or recognition. The wisdom skill of chrestotes prepares us to know when no help, is the best help, and to know when help interferes in someone's karma or necessary learning of the wisdom of facing consequences. Chrestotes is a most challenging spiritual skill to acquire. Start early, because it takes several lifetimes to master.
As we embody chrestotes more fully, we become a living expression of the divine love and wisdom that flows through all of existence. We become a healing presence in the world, a force for positive transformation and awakening.
Together, these three qualities – compassion, wisdom, and chrestotes – form the foundation of the Wayist path. By cultivating them in our own lives, we not only accelerate our own spiritual evolution but also contribute to the evolution of the spiritual awareness of all whom we come into contact with.
Wayists have produced books and other materials on the topics discussed here. There is an e-book online with the text of this podcast. The online community at Wayist.Life also have more information about these beautiful lifestyle elements.
In our next episode, we'll explore the principles of authenticity, simplicity, and the practice of Udbhu-kanti, in Wayist spirituality. Until then, may your path be filled with ever-deepening compassion, wisdom, and loving-kindness.

Episode 8: Mystical experiences, including the Theopathic Nexus and Theopathic Communion
Welcome to Episode 8 of 11 in our series Overview of Wayism. Today, we'll venture into the profound realm of mystical experiences, focusing on two significant milestones on the spiritual path: the Theopathic Nexus and Theopathic Communion.
In Wayist teachings, mystical experiences are regarded as direct, intimate encounters with the divine reality that underlies all of existence. These experiences transcend the boundaries of ordinary perception and understanding, and they offer a glimpse into the ultimate nature of The Way.
One of the most pivotal of these experiences is known as the Theopathic Nexus. This term, derived from the Greek words for "divine" and "feeling," refers to a transformative moment in which an individual's spiritual awareness reaches a critical threshold.
At the Theopathic Nexus, the boundaries between the self and the divine seem to dissolve, and one experiences a profound sense of unity, love, and understanding. It is as if the veil that separates the individual spirit from heavenly spiritual energies is momentarily lifted, revealing the inherent oneness of all in the family of spirit beings in our heaven.
Wayism understands that the Spirit Energy Domain hosts a multitude of spirit energy "worlds" so to speak, or spirit heavens, in other words. There are many types of spirit beings, all are benign, and all specialize in the energy work skills and cosmic utility of their own species. Our species of spirit beings, into which we are evolving, we specialize in helping soul-beings all over the galaxy who are in danger of being compromised in soul energy. There are many reasons why living beings in our galaxy may be in danger of large-scale energy disruptions. And that is why we specialize in soul energy healing and energy work that pertains to soul beings, meaning all living beings in the galaxy.
And that is why our training ground, the campus of our school, is the garden planet. We share space with billions of different living beings and thousands of eco-systems. We share space with typical advanced soul beings that become human, and we get to learn how soul-beings of that class are by nature. As advanced and spiritually awakened beings we sometimes observe the way they run the world and how they conduct themselves, with concern, even disgust, at times. And that is our training ground. We too were junior students, so we know them well. And we learn, because one day, as spiritual beings, we will be working with soul beings at various levels of sophistication on many other planets.
And that, too, is why the organic body of the modern homo sapiens is the host for our souls and fledgling spirits. It is a hyper-sensuous body. We are here to experience all the senses, all the tastes, all the temptations of the body, and understand its capacity for addiction and depravity, for goodness and beauty, art and world domination and genocide and senseless wars and unspeakable cruelty no other animal is capable of.
We are here to learn in the most intense and complex campus in the galaxy. And, we are doing well. Just having read this far and wanting more of Wayism is your proof of how far you have come in the process of evolution. How far you have come from the normal nature of soul-people. You are an awakened spirit-person who is moved and governed by its higher-self spirit-minds.
We are becoming energy workers, like our heavenly family, who are very powerful indeed and are by nature benign, embracing simplicity, humbleness, and helpful loving-kindness.
When we approach the theopathic nexus in our spiritual practice, we experience the sense of one-ness with our heavenly family and the spiritual energy that flows from them into us, and the wisdom we derive from it, is tremendous spiritual sustenance that change us and move us closer to graduation from Butterfly Path.
This experience is often accompanied by intense feelings of joy, peace, and reverence, as well as a deep sense of meaning and purpose. It can be a turning point on the spiritual path, marking a shift from intellectual understanding to direct, embodied knowing.
Beyond the Theopathic Nexus lies an even more profound state known as Theopathic Communion. In this state, the individual consciousness merges completely with the divine consciousness, transcending all sense of separation or duality.
Theopathy
In Wayist teachings, these mystical experiences are not seen as an end in themselves, but rather as signposts and catalysts on the journey of spiritual evolution. They offer a glimpse of our true nature and potential, and they inspire us to continue walking the path of transformation.
It is important to note that while these experiences can be profoundly meaningful and transformative, they are not necessary for spiritual growth. The Wayist path emphasizes the importance of consistent, dedicated practice and the cultivation of qualities such as compassion, wisdom, and self-awareness.
Mystical experiences, when they do occur, are regarded as natural fruits of this practice, arising spontaneously as the soul evolves and awakens. They are not to be grasped or clung to, but rather integrated into the larger fabric of one's spiritual life.
As we navigate the journey of spiritual evolution, it can be helpful to remember that the ultimate goal is not any particular experience or state of consciousness, but rather the full embodiment of our divine nature in every moment of our lives.
Whether we are immersed in the profound stillness of Theopathic Communion or engaged in the daily activities of work, relationships, and service, the invitation is to bring the same presence, love, and wisdom to each encounter.
In this way, our entire lives become a mystical experience, a sacred dance of awakening in which every step, every breath, is an opportunity to deepen our connection to The Way and to each other.

In our next episode, we'll explore the cultivation of compassion, wisdom, and chrestotes – the essential qualities of the Wayist path. Until then, may you trust in the unfolding of your own unique journey, and may every moment be infused with the remembrance of your true, divine nature.

Episode 7: Karman Active-Meditation, and its transformative effects on the body, mind, and spirit.
Welcome to Episode 7 of 11, in our series an Overview of Wayism. In today's episode, we'll explore the practice of Karman Active Meditation, a powerful and transformative approach to embodied spirituality that engages the organic body and its minds, the soul and its three minds, and the spirit and its four minds in a sacred dance of awakening and energy healing.
Karman Active-Meditation, is known as a "Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit Maintenance Program".
Karman Active Meditation is a unique system of mindful movements, breathwork, and subtle energy cultivation that has its roots in the ancient Wayist tradition. Unlike some forms of meditation that emphasize stillness and detachment, Karman Active Meditation invites us to bring our full, embodied presence to the practice.
The word "Karman" comes from the Sanskrit root meaning "action" or "deed," and this practice is indeed a form of sacred action. Through a series of 14 dynamic postures and movements, each imbued with deep symbolic meaning, we learn to awaken and circulate the vital energies of our being.
As we flow through the sequence of postures, we attune ourselves to the natural rhythms of our breath and the subtle currents of energy that pulsate through our bodies. We learn to release physical, emotional, and mental blockages, and to open ourselves to the transformative power of spiritual awareness.
Each movement in Karman Active Meditation is a symbolic representation of a stage on the Butterfly Path, mirroring the journey of transformation that we undertake as evolving souls. From the caterpillar's crawl to the butterfly's majestic flight, we embody the essence of our own unfolding as we clear unwanted energies from our chakra-minds and attune to higher energies.
Through regular practice, Karman Active Meditation can have profound effects on our entire being. On the physical level, it helps to strengthen and vitalize the body, improving flexibility, balance, and overall health. It activates the body's natural healing mechanisms and helps to restore a state of dynamic equilibrium.
On the mental and emotional levels, Karman Active Meditation helps to calm the mind, release stress and tension, and cultivate a state of inner peace and clarity. It teaches us to observe our thoughts and emotions with detachment and compassion, and to respond to life's challenges with grace and resilience.
But perhaps the most profound effects of Karman Active Meditation are on the spiritual level. By aligning our body, breath, and awareness with the sacred movements, we open ourselves to the direct experience of our own divine nature. We tap into the infinite wellspring of wisdom and love that resides within us, and we awaken to the truth of our being.
In this way, Karman Active Meditation becomes a powerful tool for self-realization and spiritual transformation. It is a practice that engages our entire being in the sacred dance of awakening, and that helps us to embody the very essence of the Wayist path.
Almost every human, no matter one's age of physique, can do Karman Active Meditation. Even in the same class, a 70-year-old lady and a fit 25-year-old man practicing together, each get the most out of it their bodies can produce, and each has the maximum benefit of the practice, and both have had a good physical workout.
Wayists have produced books and other material on the topic of Karman Active Meditation. Visit the online community at Wayist.Life for more information about this spiritual lifestyle element.
In our next episode, we'll explore the profound realm of mystical experiences, including the Theopathic Nexus and Theopathic Communion. Until then, may your practice be filled with vitality, joy, and ever-deepening wisdom.

Welcome to Episode 6 of eleven in our series An Overview of Wayism. Today, we'll explore three essential practices in Wayist spirituality – prayer, meditation, and mystiception – and discuss their importance and benefits for those walking the path of spiritual evolution.

In Wayism, prayer is seen as a powerful tool for self-reflection, spiritual attunement, and communication with the divine. Unlike some traditions that view prayer as a means of petitioning for favors or interceding with a distant god, Wayist prayer is a deeply personal and transformative practice.

Through prayer, we open our hearts and minds to the wisdom and love of our Divine Tara, and we cultivate a relationship of trust and intimacy with our own higher nature. We learn to express our deepest aspirations, fears, and joys, and to listen for the gentle guidance that arises from within.

Meditation, another cornerstone of Wayist practice, is a means of quieting the mind and aligning ourselves with the flow of The Way. By learning to observe our thoughts and emotions with detachment and equanimity, we gradually disentangle ourselves from the patterns of reactivity and conditioning that keep us trapped in cycles of suffering.

Welcome to Episode 5 of eleven in our series and Overview of Wayism. In today's episode, we'll explore the role of Divine Taras, the holy spirits who are the celestial guides who accompany each one of us on our spiritual journey, offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love.

According to Wayist teachings, each of us has a personal Divine Tara, a spiritual companion who has been with us since the beginning of our journey on the Butterfly Path. These benevolent beings work to keep us safe from malevolent soul beings who want to take advantage of our fragile state as hybrid soul / spirit beings. As we advance in higher energies, we can step into a cognitive and conscious relationship with our Taras.

Today, we'll explore the Butterfly Path, the central metaphor of Wayist teachings, and how it illuminates the purpose of human life.

In Wayism, the Butterfly Path represents the journey of spiritual evolution that every soul undertakes. Just as a caterpillar undergoes a profound transformation to become a butterfly, our souls go through a process of growth and metamorphosis as we evolve from mortal beings to immortal spirit beings.
This journey spans countless lifetimes and experiences, each one offering unique opportunities for learning and development. From the challenges we face to the joys we celebrate, every moment is a sacred invitation to expand our consciousness and deepen our connection to the divine.

The purpose of human life, then, is to actively participate in this journey of spiritual evolution. We are here to learn, to grow, and to awaken to our true future as eternal spiritual beings. This is not a passive process, but one that requires our full engagement and dedication.

As we learned in our previous episode, The Way gives rise to three distinct realms of existence, each characterized by a unique type of energy. These domains are not separate but interpenetrate and interact with one another, forming the rich tapestry of life.

The Material domain is the realm of physical existence, where energy takes on the form of matter. It is the world we inhabit as human beings, the world of objects, sensations, and experiences. In Wayist thought, the Material domain is not an illusion or something to be transcended, but a sacred expression of The Way, offering countless opportunities for growth and learning.

The Soul domain is the realm of individual consciousness, where energy manifests as unique souls. It is here that we undertake the journey of self-discovery, learning the lessons that help us evolve and mature. Each soul is on its own path, facing the challenges and opportunities that are perfectly tailored to its needs and desires.
The Spiritual domain is the realm of pure, unbounded consciousness, where energy exists in its most refined and luminous form. It is the source of divine wisdom, unconditional love, and the ultimate destination of our evolutionary journey. As we progress along the path, we gradually awaken to the reality of our spiritual nature and begin to align ourselves with this higher domain.
In Wayist teachings, these three domains are intimately connected and mutually influence one another. Our experiences in the Material domain shape the growth and evolution of our souls, while our spiritual awakening, in turn, transforms our relationship to the physical world.

By understanding the nature and significance of these energy domains, we gain a more comprehensive view of reality and our place within it. We learn to approach life with a sense of reverence and purpose, recognizing that every experience, no matter how challenging, is an opportunity for growth and transformation.

In Wayist philosophy, the Absolute is the ineffable, unknowable source of all that is. It is beyond description or comprehension, and any attempt to define it is ultimately futile. From this Absolute emerges the Source, the wellspring of all energies that flow through the universe.

The Source gives rise to a vast, intelligent energy structure known as The Way. This cosmic blueprint establishes the laws and patterns that govern the unfolding of existence. It is the grand design that shapes the journey of every soul, guiding us towards our ultimate destiny as immortal spirit beings.

Within The Way, there are three distinct energy domains: the Material, the Soul, and the Spiritual. Each domain has its own unique characteristics and plays a crucial role in the evolution of consciousness.
